Richard practises in the area of commercial litigation involving contract and property disputes, town planning, environmental and liquor licensing law.
He also practises in the petroleum industry in the retail, commercial and wholesale areas of that industry.
He is a mediator in Western Australia appointed under the Franchising Code of Conduct under the Trade Practices Act for franchising disputes and a mediator under the Oilcode and for the Produce & Grocery Industry and Horticulture Industry.
