Telstra Selects Victoria Butler as Finalist in Business Women’s Awards

Leading law firm, Jackson McDonald, is pleased to announce Victoria Butler’s selection as a Telstra Business Women’s Awards WA finalist in the Private and Corporate Sector Award category. Jackson McDonald has a longstanding commitment to supporting women and ensuring gender diversity within the firm. 55%  of Jackson McDonald lawyers and 25% of partners are women.

As a finalist, Victoria Butler joins an exclusive group of elite Australian business women celebrated for their contributions to their industries and to the community at large. Victoria Butler joined Jackson McDonald in 1997. Victoria is an advocate for women at the firm and has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s Women’s Forum. With two daughters aged six and four, Victoria manages parenting with leading her litigation practice and Jackson McDonald’s insolvency and restructuring group. Victoria became a Partner in 2006 and continues to uphold her vision to attract and retain female talent at Jackson McDonald.

Victoria is the insolvency representative for Australia on the Women’s Law Network. She was named in the 2014 Best Lawyers Australia survey in the areas of insolvency and reorganisation law and commercial law. Victoria is also a board member of the not-for-profit Neurological Council of WA.

For the past 20 years, Telstra’s Business Women’s Awards have recognised brilliant and innovative women across Australia for their inspiring stories and achievements in their businesses and in their communities. For finalists and winners nationally, the Awards provide entrants with the opportunity to reflect on their careers, the chance to share ideas with peers and connect with other accomplished women outside their sector.

Winners of the state and territory awards will be announced at gala dinners around the country from 29 September to 28 October. Regional winners will be invited to attend the national finals in Melbourne on 26 November.
