We are looking for an experienced “front end” construction lawyer with at least 4-years post-admission experience to join our Construction team where you will focus on drafting and negotiating contracts and advising on procurement strategies. There may also be the opportunity to work on some construction disputes (including adjudications).
Our Construction team is highly regarded for its expertise across the WA construction (and related) sectors and is one of the largest in Western Australia. This exceptional role involves working with highly regarded Partner, Isla McRobbie, and provides career progression opportunities for the right candidate, who is looking for a pathway to senior roles.
At Jackson McDonald we also believe in a broader collaborative approach across the firm – as such you may also have exposure to working with others in related teams such as our WHS, insurance and commercial teams. We act for a number of major organisations in the industry, and a range of clients including principals, contractors, consultants and government bodies. The range of construction projects that you will be involved in will be diverse and challenging.
About you
We are seeking someone with at least 4-years post-admission experience in commercial law, experience in “front end” legal work in the construction industry, and some experience in the contentious aspects of construction law.
