About the opportunity

Jackson McDonald is seeking a Lawyer with 1 to 5 years post-admission experience to join our Disputes practice group on a permanent basis.

Our Disputes team is led by Eva Lin and Marcus Pullen, and provides risk and disputes advice covering a broad range of matters including: 

• Commercial contracts
• Corporations Act
• Governance
• Regulation
• Trusts and succession.

Our Disputes team complements Jackson McDonald’s multi-sector service offering, which allows for a diverse range of work as well as excellent opportunities to collaborate with specialists and technical experts from different practice groups. About you

You will have a keen interest in dispute resolution and be able to demonstrate the following attributes, skills and abilities:

• 1 to 5 years post-admission experience;
• Prior experience in dispute resolution;
• High level communication and interpersonal skills;
• Sound judgement and commercial acumen;
• Legal knowledge and technical ability commensurate with your experience;
• A proactive, innovative and energetic approach;
• Excellent technical and drafting skills with demonstrated attention to detail;
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines;
• Willingness and ability to be flexible to accommodate business and client demands (we offer reciprocal flexibility);
• Be solutions-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional work;
• The ability to manage challenging situations in a professional manner; and
• Curiosity and initiative.
