Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking to take the next step in your career?

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our firm as Practice Coordinator/Executive Assistant. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality administrative support to practice lawyers and provide direct supervision and coordination of the Legal Assistants dedicated to the practice group. 

The key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Working closely with the Partner, Practice Group Leader to ensure compliance with practice management needs in relation to supporting the practice area.
  • Managing a group of Legal Assistants and Document Creation Specialists including, but not limited to supervising and coordinating work, prioritisation of important tasks and projects, daily supervision of legal assistants.
  • Overseeing and assisting the practice group with administrative tasks.
  • Providing executive assistant support to the partners where required. This includes diary management, monitoring of their mail and inbox, arranging travel and itineraries and assisting with their planning and coordination of meetings.
  • Actively sharing knowledge of specialised processes with other team members through training and documentation.
  • Identifying any possible process and/or system improvements and assisting with the implementation of new processes or systems to help with the practice area’s legal operations. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 4 years’ legal assistant experience.
  • Post-secondary qualifications are highly regarded but are not essential.
  • High-level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • A genuine commitment to client service.
  • Good judgement and the ability and willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to be efficient and thorough.
