We are seeking a Lawyer to join our Real Estate practice group on a permanent basis.

Our Real Estate team is one of the largest and most respected in Western Australia, offering deep industry insight and extensive experience across legal and regulatory frameworks. This exciting opportunity involves working closely with our Partners Bianca McGoldrick, Lance Hilton-Barber and Fabrice Lincoln, leading practitioners in their field.

In this role you will work closely with a variety of clients, advising on matters from all stages of the property transaction lifecycle. If you are passionate about providing commercial and practical solutions to complex issues and are looking for a collaborative and dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Minimum 5 years post-admission experience.
  • Strong and demonstrated knowledge of Western Australian property law and practice generally, including in the following areas:
    • due diligence
    • transactional work, including the preparation and negotiation of contracts to buy and sell commercial, retail, industrial and other types of property
    • negotiating development agreements
    • arranging settlements, including on PEXA
    • preparation of off-the-plan strata contracts
    • advising on, preparing and reviewing commercial, industrial and retail leasing (both landlord and tenant perspectives)
    • land development, particularly subdivisions
    • drafting easements and restrictive covenants
  • Experience working with local government on property and development related matters, including on urban renewal projects (desirable)
  • Experience working on retirement villages (desirable)
  • Good communication skills, and confidence to act in a client-facing role
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaborate in a team environment
