Jackson McDonald is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Pullen as Partner, joining the firm’s Disputes team.
Marcus practiced as Solicitor-Advocate in the UK before emigrating to Australia in 2012. His experience in Australia spans national and boutique practices in the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
He advises on corporate and commercial disputes, including in the areas of:
Marcus’s clients have included high-profile individuals, national and multinational corporations (private and listed) and Government, with notable clients including ASX 100 companies, the major Australian banks (CBA, Bankwest, ANZ), insurers (Chubb, AIG, Allianz), the ACCC and the Northern Territory Government.
He regularly appears as an advocate and has appeared as counsel in the District Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court (Australia) and the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal (England and Wales). Marcus has acted as trial counsel in both England and Australia. Marcus also represents clients in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes, including arbitration and mediation.
Marcus currently sits on the Law Society of Western Australia Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and is the Vice-President of the Anglo-Australasian Lawyers Society (Western Australia).
