Vale Adam Levin

News

The partners and staff of Jackson McDonald extend our heartfelt sympathy to Adi, Noa and Tal, and also to Ray and Vivienne, on the loss of Adam Levin.

Adam was a homegrown Jackson McDonald lawyer who made an extraordinary contribution to our firm and the wider community. He joined the firm in 1991 and was a Partner from 1997 to 2020, and also served on our board.

Over the course of his career, he built a successful ‘for purpose’ legal practice, earning and retaining the trust and respect of government, First Nations communities, the not-for-profit sector, and family businesses.  Chambers recognised his leading expertise, ranking him in Band 1 for Private Wealth in Australia, for Native Title and for Charities.  Adam was instrumental in the establishment of FDIO and STEP, growing them into leading organisations for advocacy and support.

Adam loved his work and working with diverse people, from yarning on country to black tie events with Hollywood superstars.  A true humanist, he helped found the Museum of Freedom and Tolerance to promote a cohesive society free of prejudice and discrimination.  As a music-lover, he was part of the team that made Freo Social part of the fabric of Walyalup (Fremantle) and a home for the arts.

We are proud of Adam’s achievements and grateful for his contribution over many years.  He was a visionary, generous teacher and mentor and will continue to inspire.
