Charlotte was admitted to practice on 13 December 2019 and since then has practised in commercial litigation, employment law and has now settled in the area of personal injury defendant litigation.
Charlotte acts for some of the firm’s longest standing clients in the defence of workers’ compensation statutory claims, employers’ indemnity common law claims and general liability claims.
Charlotte is an important member of Jackson McDonald’s Insurance and Risk practice group. She acts for national and multi-national policy holders on instructions from large retail insurers and overseas underwriters.
Charlotte prides herself on getting to know her clients’ business and listening to their concerns and objectives. With this in mind, Charlotte provides clear and timely advice in relation to appropriate strategies on matters and where appropriate will negotiate the settlement of matters on the most favourable terms to the client. Where matters are not capable of settlement she advises on the most efficient and cost effective way to progress a matter to a formal determination whether it be an arbitration or trial.
Charlotte is experienced in running litigation matters in the Supreme Court, District Court and Magistrates Court of Western Australia and in the WorkCover tribunal.
In addition to litigated matters, Charlotte also provides advice to clients on policy interpretation and statutory reforms.
