He represents clients across a range of industries and sectors, and his practice combines extensive litigation capability and large-scale, complex, ‘bet-the-company’ experience with a practical focus on resolving disputes quickly, efficiently, and commercially.
Known for his clarity, straight-talking approach, and savvy commerciality, he has acted for and advised significant clients across the globe, including ASX 100 companies, the ‘big 4’ major Australian banks, the world’s largest insurers, the ACCC, the Northern Territory Government, high net worth individuals, professional sports players, and Special Forces personnel.
Marcus regularly appears as advocate and has represented clients in the higher courts and appeal courts, having appeared as Counsel in the District Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court (Australia), and in the County Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal (England and Wales). He has acted as trial counsel in England and Australia and has represented clients in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes in various jurisdictions.
